Joining these organizations & attending campus events is what makes the Howard experience worth while. It would be a shame to have all that taken away. Especially with all the money we are paying to come here.

I graduated from Howard University in 1992. As a freshman, the Campus Pals and Gentleman of Drew were an integral part of my Howard experience; and I joined both to extend that positive experience to incoming freshmen. Suspending participation in these organizations, and others like them, is a tremendous disservice to incoming freshman and threatens to eliminate vital social components that draw others to our great institution! In a world where we were once robbed of our culture and tradition, it is a shame to see a university that played such a Herculean role in establishing the pride I feel as an African American robbing incoming students of the opportunity to experience the culture and tradition partially responsible for my recommending others to attend.
