I have been spending my evenings mapping out every gated complex that relies on private dumpsters when they should have access to city recycling. It feels wrong that so many of us are forced to throw everything in the trash simply because of where we live. I am preparing a formal request for the Solid Waste Department and will keep pushing until they explain why this exclusion exists.

Seeing this grow makes me feel like my neighbors and I might finally be able to stop hauling bags of plastic to the dump in our trunks. This momentum proves that people are tired of being ignored by the city because of where we live.

Ridiculous that we have to drive our glass and plastic to the other side of town. Make it happen Houston!
