This bill is ridiculous! We take great care of our dogs and always get permission before hunting on someone else’s property. Dogs however do not know boundary lines, but we do our best to keep them where they are supposed to be. This would destroy our heritage of hunting with hounds!

I run rabbit dogs, you can't control the actions of your dog once it hits the ground. If it catches the scent of the game you are hunting it's gonna chase it with no knowledge of property lines. Putting in a law that restricts hunters from getting thier dogs would only hurt hunters and put their dogs in danger. Where as if they had the right to retrieve thier dog they can go retrieve it and bring it back to the property which they have permission to hunt.

This bill would be awful for hound hunting, and I am totally against it. Please preserve our heritage.

These hunters are trying to help with a nuisance problem. These dogs are trained and bred for this sport. Dogs have always been used for hunting as far as you can go back in history things shouldn’t change now.

Don't let the minority bring and pass laws to rule the majority. That's not how this government thing works.

Absolutely ridiculous bill . Dogs do not understand boundary lines. If this bill passes what’s next - prosecute a neighbor for his cat getting on your property ? Prosecute a farmer when his livestock gets out and onto a neighbors land ? Ridiculous !

DO NOT Pass. I suspect this is coming from a few out of stators who have purchased land in Iowa for the sole purpose to hunt deer. Or outfitters who charge $1000's for hunts. Most local hunters in SW iowa are respectful and do not intentionally let their dogs trespass on pay to hunt land or land that is posted. There are always a few. But I have also met a FEW "Only a few" pay to hunt outfitters that think they own or lease the gravel road there land is connected to. Most hunters I know do not hunt coyotes until after bow and second season for deer out of respect. I suspect it is these few who are pushing for this new law.

You cant tell a dog he cant cross a fence. Or draw a map and show him, because a dog can read
