THEY FINALLY BLINKED AND REVERSED THE PRICE HIKE!! WE WON THIS FIGHT AGAINST THE INCREASE AND I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED THAT WE HELD THE LINE TOGETHER!! KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN TO ENSURE THE OLD PRICING STAYS IN PLACE PERMANENTLY!!
You the members have brought to UNITES attention the price hike that HOST is looking to impose on YOU, an increase of £4 per day minimum (20% increase). We are asking that HOST reconsider this decision, in a time when workers are doing their upmost to work through an unprecedented pandemic!
This will make for a better working environment and improves morale on site.
Pure profiteering. We were encouraged to leave our digs at the beginning of this pandemic and move on to the campus. Workers did that and are now being exploited as there old digs are now gone. Yes it’s busy, but 20% is scandalous and pure greed.

Massive price hike . Meant to be workers accommodation . There is not enough readily available accommodation to be fair and that’s what Host Know . It’s not a time for people from different families all over the uk and Europe to be in house shares at the moment in my opinion .

A 20% increase in cost for accomodation that is so closely tied to the HPC project is unreasonable, especially that there are significant drawbacks to living there, such as the rooms not having their own fridges and visitors not being allowed.

Please reconsider your price rise as many workers are away from there families and like myself, some are probably facing the situation were they only have one income coming into there household as our partners are in lockdown.

To attract more employees to the Hpc development, the accommodation needs to be at a affordable fare rate , plus meals , otherwise men women young and senior workers, will be attracted to other contracts nearer to there homes ,

Hello, As a long stay resident I’m not happy with the price increase at Hinkley campus, the price increase does not reflect the service provided. Our rooms are cleaned less and most of the facilities are not on offer.
Thanks
Matt
