I have spent the last few days listening to former residents share their stories about how vital this hostel has been for them throughout the years. These accounts prove that the council is not just looking at a balance sheet but at the stability of real people who need our protection.

Seeing this level of support reminds me exactly why I started this fight for the people living at the hostel. It is heartening to see so many of you backing our neighbors against these unfair charges.

Stop taking from the vulnerable. shameful behavior from the council.
total nonsense. they are struggling enough with the rising costs of everything else. give em a break
absolutely ridiculous. where is the money actually going? not back to the hostel i bet.
This is a disgrace. People have enough trouble making ends meet as it is without the council grabbing more cash.
Just another way for the SIC to squeeze money out of people who have nothing. Leave the residents alone!!

My son stayed there and it was a lifeline. charging them this much is just pure greed.
