Many statistics show that horses are one of the top animals to be abused. There are too many scenes I have seen personally were horses aren't treated properly. It breaks my heart and I believe there should be a law horse owners have to abide in order to own a horse. Horses may be animals, but they live, breathe, eat, and try to survive in this world just like we do. We have all these mandatory health codes so why shouldn't a horse have the same. The slaughtering of horses needs to stop. The cruelty to them needs to stop. If you can't afford to take care of a horse properly then you have no need to own one. Give the horse a chance with someone who can provide the right care for them.
