While we think road safety announcements are a good idea, we can't help noticing that there is a severe lack of horse road safety warnings on tv & radio. 

Horses have been using the roads longer than any motor vehicle or cycle & are being forced onto the roads more & more due to loss of green space. Traffic is getting heavier & quicker very often using country lanes as rat runs often at great speeds.

Whilst most riders that use the roads have traffic savvy horses these are still live animals & can be spooked.

We the undersigned would like to see more horse safety announcements on tv & radio in an attempt to educate drivers. This could also be used to educate riders on staying safe; wearing hi-viz, thanking drivers etc.
