Part of the Lee's Landing Circle problem was due to the fact that the Reflections development was built over flood lands and possible filling of the swamp land.

When you remove natural drainage basins the water does not dissappear. ..it just follows the path of least resistance ..which happens to be in homes that were here years before new construction.

I do not live in these areas, but get flash flooding from run off in hurricanes.

Sorry county needs to fix this before allowing any more building. Take care of us the tax payers first , not the builders making money off of people coming from other states to live there dream that becomes a nightmare.

We actually need to have all government entities involved in this, local state and federal as I believe it is to large a problem to be handled on the local level at this point.

Stop or at least pause new construction until roads, emergency services, and schools can catch up. Our current infrastructure and our environment can’t handle the constant building.

I'm still dealing with wind and water damage.

Something needs to be done we all pay taxes on everything in horry county. Maybe use some of that money the school board has laying around for their yearly raise. For their one day amonth work they do .. which ain't much if u look at the school grades . God knows the tax fee on the cars we have to pay

I agree, all permits should cease until a study for drainage is conducted..

Infrastructure must be in place before any more development. Mandate that trees remain. Clear cutting increases the flooding potential

We bought our house in 2/2018 not in a flood zone. Flooded 9/2018. Still not in a flood zone We love this house do to the original knotty pine wood and want to keep it to its true make We all should be compensated for them not fixing the rivers and letting us suffer I don’t see them here helping

Horry County has for many years allowed grade level slab foundation and low crawl space homes to be built in well known flood prone areas. The loss of real assets by Horry County citizens from flooding is due to gross negligence and irresponsible planning by the county.

My parents lost everything during the floods from a Hurricane Florence. Please stop building new developments and fix the drainage problems in the county first.

Development decisions are being made that serve to benefit those with power and money. Over development, high density housing, and current flooding issues must be addressed.

I have friends that lost everything as not one salvaged item could they use.

Fix the flooding now!

Horry County Council, please continue to listen to those that suffered and lost so much in Hurricane Florence.
