This County so crooked I don't tell you what's going to happen if you if you sell a portion of land my aunt sold a portion then the county mailed out letter saying owner Road will have to pave it according to how it drawn in the record then I got to fight for them because they don't even know they have to fight are daddy raised them to be stupid now that he's gone I have to try to make things right and it's not right it really f***** up before I spend a hundred thousand for something I don't want I'll sue them 4 Double

I live in Island Green Golf Community. In 2018 & 2017 the west section of our community was affected by damaging flooding, especially in 2018. I support while heartedly the further study of flooding in Horry County.

Our elected officials sit silent and let us, the citizens of Horry County, clean up after disasters, and they do nothing. They want to build more, and more, so that they can make money. Plain and simple.

Enough!! Make developers who get approved responsible for traffic problems and enviromental issues that will be caused by thier development.

We have grown enough! New development brings risks of flooding since we are now building on what used to be designated "wet lands". Don;t need any more traffic or any more strain on our first responders and city/county services.

I totally agree with u. it would be good if everyone can bring pictures of their flooding and a way to prove the county is being careless in their thinking got building and not letting the Army of engineers at least come out and let them study what if u keep building without taking the flooding into consideration not to mention all the animals who have no homes from being run out by development. what about the wildlife foundation something that they could do to claim wildlife property for the animals like they cant build on restricted property protected by wildlife. I dont know just trying to help out.

I believe that the current county council being influenced by their own real estate interest have neglected the citizens of Horry County. They have continued to turn a blind eye to responsible development with coherent and intelligent long planning. They have sold out this county to developers and have in effect made us the poster child for poor development planning. There is no considerable effort or energy from this elected council to change zoning or demand responsibility from developers. Horry county is the wild west and too many developers understand this concept of unlimited unregulated restrictions in terms of site work approval. We have the least green space protection requirements and easements of anywhere the state. Impact fees are virtually nonexistent and absolutely no consideration for our infrastructure. Many of these developers are out of state corperations that have no substantial interest in this county or state except to profit from unbridled and unrestricted development.
