This is such a beautiful thing! It really needs to happen. There are so many people who need help in our area

I work in addiction recovery. It's been my experience that if a person can get stable housing, they can begin the work of recovery. When there's no place to consistently and safely lay your head, everything else becomes secondary.

Poverty, homelessness are not crimes

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. I fully support Hope Village and this mission.

People desperately need this!

Not only should this exist but it should be spread out throughout town. Putting all homeless in one area us on par to putting them in ghettos. Include the tiny houses into places all over medford. Let them be neighbors to everyone else not just themselves. It is proven that you pick up traits from the people you interact with. Help them, be a good influence, help yourself, gain perspective and compassion.

It is our responsibility as a society to see that everyone who needs and wants housing has access to a safe place to live.

No one should be homeless, it's a shame out taxes go to war, over people. Our government, as our representatives, should provide a social net that shelter and meets the basic needs that no individual will fear being homeless, and hungry.

Enough is enough....we need this much more than a casino!!!! Time to be much more proactive in helping, not judging

People need help, no one should be without basic shelter. From there people can be helped - and examine and correct our entire system that has created poverty. We can't just turn away, we need to help people with a hand up.

But for the grace of God anyone could find themselves homeless. No one chooses to be homeless. Hope Village is modeled after other successful authorized homeless encampments all over the United States..

If tiny houses are cool for affluent tourists who pay $150 a night to stay at the Tiny House Hotel in Portland, then they are certainly attractive & fashionable enough to have in Medford, providing basic shelter not to affluent tourists, but to people who really need a roof over their heads as they try to improve their lives.
