Preserve Our Covenants and Character: No Commercial Facilities in Hope Valley

This is a residential area and usage is covered by covenants--which vary somewhat by exact address. But commercial enterprises are not part of the spirit (or letter of the covenants)--AFAIK. Please see my post on the list serve. Most of my immediate neighbors failed to follow through with additional funds when covenants were threatened around the corner. This does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling--especially given the fact that we are fighting a corporation. I don't want to waste money on this fight until round 2 or round 3. Sorry--but my experience is that my neighbors are all bark and little bite

This is a residential neighborhood with covenants that are to be followed by all property owners. If there is a need to change them then it should come before the property owners for discussion and a vote.

We are generally opposed to any commercial business in Hope Valley run by a non-resident enterprise. And we are also specifically opposed to having a group home in a neighborhood of predominately single-family private homes.

We do not approve for a commercial business anywhere in the Hope Valley neighborhood.

I feel strongly against allowing such a business venture in a neighborhood with deed covenants.

Preservation Durham should be willing to help with dead covenant enforcement given the home is within the historic district.

It is my understanding that a group home is not allowed under our covenants

I support maintaining an d enforcing the deed covenants signed by Hope Valley homeowners.

This is a dangerous location for a home that will require lots of commercial traffic and for the home care residents

There should not be any commercial venture be in our residential neighborhood and I support upholding our covenants.
