Preserve Our Covenants and Character: No Commercial Facilities in Hope Valley

I do not want LiveWell to have a care home on my street. People with memory disorders need protection, and our street has easy access to busy Garrett Road and no sidewalks. This is not a neighborhood for a business since we are a residential community.

I am vehemently opposed to the proposed use of this property for commercial purposes. There are simply too many other locations more suited for this enterprise.

Let's keep Hope Valley what is was meant to be-a residential neighborhood!

Hope Valley is a residential community. A commercial use of a house in Hope Valley is inconsistent with the character of our neighborhood and could have negative property value impact over the long haul. Plus, one exception opens the door for more.

Non-resident commercial enterprises have no place in Hope Valley. At a minimum, any exception to the neighborhood covenant should gain express approval from the HVNA.

I don't want this in our neighborhood.

The Hope Valley residential community is definitely not intended for this kind of purpose!

Please keep the neighborhood a residential one we already get way too mych traffic onto Rugby road becaude if the daycare center--- and people are accelating to over 49 miles an hour up and down rugby road onto hope valley, --- it is an outrage!

I agree that a commercial business is definitely at odds with the atmosphere of our neighborhood. I am opposed to it.

Violates the covenants, simple as that.

I oppose the LiveWell, Care Home in the Historic Hope Valley subdivision. Commercial enterprise is against the covenants and the voice of the Hope Valley home owners must be heard.

I grew up and still live in Hope Valley and I am strongly against the Live Well Home in our neighborhood. I never would have thought that this type of business would be allowed to open in a family community. By allowing this business to operate here, the charm, history, and feeling of a community will be taken away. Do not allow this to happen.

I am strongly opposed to the possibility of the "LiveWell, Care Home" at 3736 Bentley Drive in Hope Valley, Durham, NC

We moved to Hope Valley about 11 years ago because of the beautiful, quiet and historic charm. This commercial enterprise is strictly forbidden by our covenants and we, as residents, should have a say-so on this matter. I think it is very curious that the City Council was able to approve this without the neighborhood's input. We are adamantly opposed. Kim Kennedy Darwin Road

Please don't change our neighborhood, because a senior care house would be a huge detriment to everyone living here.

Hope Valley is not the place for a Family Care Home.. Not sure why Bentley Dr. is particularly unsuited for this type of home. It should apply to the whole "HVCC neighborhood," and not one particular road over another.

As a resident of Hope Valley, I oppose the establishment of a Family Care Home that is proposed in residential Hope Valley.

I think the concept of group homes is a wonderful idea, and I suspect this concept will become increasingly valuable as our population ages. However, I believe that the covenants of each individual neighborhood should be honored. and Hope Valley's covenants do not allow any non-resident operated commercial enterprise. The neighborhood's deed pact should be respected.
