Coach Carter taught 6 of the 9 kids in my family.My sister Freda was his 1st student of teaching.My family loves and respects Coach Carter ,he not only was a coach he was mentor and friend.His name should remain.

Coach Carter was one of the GREATEST COACHES in the history of the state of NC not just Moore County!! He influenced generations of students from Moore County and other surrounding counties through his work in various public schools and AAU Track! This Man has coached National and State Champions!! His Legacy deserves to be Remembered and Celebrated✊

I grew up hearing stories from my mom and aunt about Coach Carter. When I finally met him and had the opportunity to learn from him, it was clear why. He had a heart of gold and genuinely cared about supporting students through athletics. Being on a team, breaking down racial barriers and teaching us all how to work together, he was the best example of what our community has to offer kids and we should continue to honor his legacy.
