I was just looking at the count and realized we are almost at two hundred and fifty which is actually wild considering how fast this took off. If everyone reading this just sent the link to a few neighbors who knew Tessie we would cross that target before the sun goes down.

I was walking past the corner today and could almost see Tessie sitting there watching the world go by. I have been putting together a folder of all your stories about her to hand over to the community board members because their silence is starting to feel pretty loud.

Growing up on this street meant knowing Tessie. A true legend of the block. lets get this done.
Tessie was the heart of this neighborhood for as long as I can remember. She deserves this so much.
She was the sweetest lady ever. I miss seeing her on her stoop every morning. Perfect way to remember her.
Tessie was such a kind soul. The neighborhood wont be the same without her around.
LONG OVERDUE. She put up with all of us kids running around for decades. Respect.

Such a great idea. She really made this place feel like home for everyone who lived here.
