Theresa "Tessie" Lanza -an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend lived her life with her family on this block. She may have only traveled from her stoop to Court Street, but she has touched so many lives. May she always live on in our hearts and be honored with naming Sackett Street between Court and Clinton Streets after her.
I was just looking at the count and realized we are almost at two hundred and fifty which is actually wild considering how fast this took off. If everyone reading this just sent the link to a few neighbors who knew Tessie we would cross that target before the sun goes down.

I was walking past the corner today and could almost see Tessie sitting there watching the world go by. I have been putting together a folder of all your stories about her to hand over to the community board members because their silence is starting to feel pretty loud.
