In my trips back East I have looked for battlefields that now were shopping molls or housing developments. We need to save them for parks and memorials.

It is imperative that we do as much as possible to save our Civil War battlefields now and for all future generations to come. One of the best ways to do this is through increased education programs endorsed by grassroots initiatives like the Honor Out a Soldiers campaign. As a veteran with 29 years of total military service, I'm am honored to support this program in respect to my fellow veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

I have been a cwt member for the past 3 years. with the way hallowed ground is disappearing. I am glad my donations each month have helped preserve different tracts of land. the American public have no clue what is happening. example I picked up our family dinner tonight . the bill came to $18.65. I said what a good year that was. then I asked the girl what the year meant. she had no idea that civil war ended that year.

"Never forget, nor dishonor." would be the prayer of our soldiers, past and present. With this effort we assure that they will be remembered and honored forever.
Once again, Civil War Trust shows why all of us who understand should support the organization as generously as we can. The cause is noble, and the need is great.
