Dear Archbishop Vincent Nichols, We would like to express our sadness and opposition to the ongoing activities at Our Lady of the Assumption and St Gregory's Catholic Church,(nr Piccadilly Circus) and the Homosexual masses being said there. We believe that Homosexuals are people just like any other human being is, but we further believe that they are also in need of both healing and change and reintegration into the Church. Abstinence and purification are needed, alongside spiritual fostering and nurturing to the dignified and freedom giving life that can only come from following true Catholic Christian ethics guided by the Holy Spirit. We believe that we shouldn't condemn the sinner, but, the sin. Therefore we would like there to be an end to these celebrations of the Holy Mass for active homosexual Catholics. We believe that these people should not establish a union of a mass that accepts the perpetuity of same sex actvity among the laity. On par clergy members with these masses should also refrain from continuing these celebrations because in essence not disallowing these practices would be allowing this specific impure oblation to continue in this city and indeed elsewhere. Not putting an end to this will ultimately eliminate the notion of 'sin' from the sinners conscience, allowing for an erroneous and unChristian set of ideas to seep into the spiritual and ethical backwaters of true contemporary Catholicism. Not to mention the sacrilgious communions that are happening within these masses. Instead, our fellow members of the church should be invited to attend Mass with the rest of the Catholic community and to remain chaste and pure on their journey in faith.

I have been sitting here reading all your reflections and stories since my coffee turned completely cold and honestly the way these traditions are shifting away from what we traditionally hold sacred is just heartbreaking. Someone reached out to me today about meeting up to draft a formal letter to the diocese and even though I feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the situation I just know we have to keep pushing for clarity.

Seeing the momentum pick up like this honestly feels surreal because I really started this whole thing out of a sense of deep concern for the church and its future. The weight of this response tells me I am definitely not the only one worried about these traditions and the direction things are taking lately.

Absolute shame. Keeping our traditions pure is the only way forward.

Please bring these masses to an end. It makes me so sad to see the church compromised like this.

STOP THE MADNESS. The church is a house of prayer not a place for social agendas that spit in the face of god.

Thank you for speaking up. This is a disgrace to our faith and what we have stood for for centuries.

Finally someone said it. Its about time the church stopped being afraid to call sin what it really is.

The church needs to get back to basics. Stop catering to these groups and start teaching the actual truth of the Bible again.
