Homework is an issue for all students. 

Many teachers understand that homework is something that no student enjoys, no matter how easy. it’s simply disturbing to be forced to do work while your supposed to be at home, relaxing or even doing other work — which brings me to my next point. Homework disrupts a students natural habits and work ethic. many students in high school have jobs or chores they need to attend to, and classes with a lot of homework build a lot of stress on those students. homework can also make students less confident, as many times students will see a large amount of homework and get so overwhelmed they simply give up and break down, which greatly damages a persons mental health and self image over time. Even from middle school and up, many kids already suffer from confidence and self image issues, so this doesn’t help at all with any of that. Many students, upon being given homework, feel agitated. This is a bad thing, obviously, as if a student associates homework with frustration, they associate that class, school, or even their life as a whole with that same frustration, which can make people build a bad relationship with work, school, and even other people in severe cases. All of these things just show how unnecessary and harmful homework can be, which is why it should be banned from Dearborn Public Schools.
