Allow these kids to play. Who is it going to hurt. I know of quite a few homeschool kids who excel at sports and would be a welcome addition

The EHTBOE had the sense to pass this 9-0 in 2015. The NJSIAA has been on board with this for years. It's about the kids, for which you are supposed to advocate. Drop the ideological differences, the politics, and stop discriminating because his parents chose to educate at home. Get it together Middle Twp BOE. Vote YES! It's for the children!

Let them play. I’m actually offended that a petition needs to be signed for this. Let them play.

Why is this even an issue? The family pays taxes in the district, as long as his homeschooling curriculum meets standards this child should not be denied participation. Sound like it’s time to get a lawyer to file an injunction against the district.

In this accepting and forward thinking world we live in, let's let a child play some soccer gosh dangit.

We should do everything we can to keep our youth engaged in sports and extracurriculars as long as possible. This is NONSENSE. Let's use common sense here folks! Our teens need all the positive sports, activities, and influences we can give them! Let's not make rash decisions based on ignorance.

Homeschoolers should have the right to play sports - or give them back their tax money.

This young man deserves the right to try out for HS sports. His family has been part of our community for decades. Let him try out. If it were basketball, this would be a non issue.

The Board of Education should put children first and let all students play if they choose.

The fact that the school is trying to subject innocent children to compete and utter discrimination is reprehensible.

Every child deserves the right to compete in school activities. Denying a child the right to participate takes away the important lessons of team, commradery, selflessness, self control, empathy etc.... I thought schools were to be about teaching students more than just English, Math, Sciences & History!

As long as home schooled children are following state education requirements they are part of the education program and should be allowed the same access to extra curricular activities within their school districts. Families are paying school taxes.

If homeschool students can't participate in school sports, perhaps we shouldn't pay school taxes either?
