Homebase Tower at Wandsworth Town

I stand in TOTAL OPPOSITION to this ill thought out development plan

I own a flat in Compass House and most strongly object to the Home Base application. .The high rise building is not in keeping.Traffic congestion and over crowding on trains.Lack of green space.

I object to the buildings because it will cause more congestion in an already crowded area it's to high its insightly trains and buses already to crowded on this area .it's to big

This is an overdense, short of parking development. This would put severe pressure on the infrastructure of the area, especially the already overburdened station ,Wandsworth Town...

Rejected twice by Wandsworth, by our MP and by our 3 Councillors - how many more rejections does this application require ?!

This is a very concerning case where a developer is trying to run roughshod over the clear and valid objections from a community with support from their local and national politicians. The Mayor of London's support is requested to reject the development as proposed

Many reasons, but one of the most important has to be 'where is the infrastructure?' Try boarding a train from Wandsworth Town Station at 8am as just one small example.

The development is oversized and inappropriate to the area and will overload all aspects of local infrastructure. In particular the local transport links, nursery and junior schools, GP practices and park and recreational space. It is ill conceived.

I'm against the proposed development because it takes no notice of Wandsworth Council or local residents concerns about its negative impact on the local area.

The surrounding area will receive less sunshine due to the height of the building. The height of the tower will stand out in the area making it look less like a residential area. There is already strain on public infrastructure such as train transportation especially at peak time, this can only make it worse even if the station is expanded. There are several other new developments in the area, all of these will contribute to increase in polution and congestion. We need more open area in Wandsworth to accommodate the constant increase in population due to new developments. We are not against new homes and new development in the area. All we ask is to be respected, considered and not be forced to move from the area we have called home for over 10 years.

I believe that the proposed development will place too luck pressure on already stretched services, especially travel

The height of the tower is totally out of keeping with the surrounding neighbourhood.

I agree with my husband's comments. Tim Clark. We do do want this development to go through in this form. We feel the extra increase in size is being pushed through for final gain for the council and developers. This has no benefit for people on average incomes

The previous application was denied, a bigger site with more people is definitely not the way to go. I don't feel the local community will benefit from this building. Extra units under the heading of affordable housing, affordable to whom. The station cannot cope at peak time. The previous application claimed the trains were quite empty, an obvious lie if you see the amount of commuter at peak time going north. The buildings will overshadow the small Bresintalial Tonsleys area. We think this proposal is not wanted in this current form. Only the wealthy will gain from this. Obviously the council will make huge final gains from this. Asking for 1000 signatures is outrageous, a figure that the developers must realise is very hard to achieve. No to this development.

The proposed development is portly designed with poor public urban realm and is contrary to planning policy on height, massing and will adversely affect the local park, nearby residences at The Schoolyard, Riverside West and The Tonsleys.

I oppose this development

This is clearly an overdevelopment which is somewhat taking bribery from central government. Mr Khan continues to claim his stance towards affordable and social housing however, this development shows minimal social housing and only benefits the super rich. The density and massing does not suit developments within the neighbouring block ie smugglers way. The increased height has visual issues for both residents and drivers. Their should also be a requirement for noise pollution as it is close to the station. How does this development ease traffic management to and from the station? How with an additional 700+ people service wandsworth town station? There is already a strain on schools, travel, dr surgery and yet this development does not assist. Have you considered employment loss? As you can clearly see I am against this development.

This development is a totally inappropriate for the area.

I object to the plans in their current form, the development is totally inappropriate for the site and local community.

The development should be in keeping with the local area, what is proposed is not which is why the local councillors rejected it.
