This petition is to raise awareness to the writers, directors and producers of the most recent Sherlock Holmes movies (starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law) that their is a large, passionate fan base wanting to see the homoerotic subtext from the first film and the flat out text in the second film occurring between Holmes and Watson to continue into a third film. Just at a glance, there is staggering amount of support for the two as a homosexual couple and a substantial amount of evidence especially in the second movie. While of course, we wouldn't want our voices to completely override artistic intent we would like to remind the creators that it is a realm to explore, one that possesses the ability to become one of the greatest understated love stories to date. In short, we are giving the okay and urging you to continue the homoerotic tones and undertones. Don't be afraid to allow Jude and Robert to "queen it up" as it was once said in an interview. Don't be afraid to once again turn it up a notch (considering the leap in blatancy from the first film to the second). There are many fans who will continue to champion and support these characters as well as the movies themselves but we would just like to say; we're more than okay with the gay.
