The petition at state is to convince those at Sony Pictures to release the movie Bel Ami in the United States. Bel Ami was filmed two years ago and we in the United States, as fans of Robert Pattinson, have been anticipating it ever since. Many of us have read the original story by Guy de Maupassant and we’re excited to see the story brought to life not only by Robert, but also Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, Kristin Scott-Thomas, and Holliday Grainger, as well as the rest of the cast. There are some countries who have release dates while there are those who are waiting for it. The US has seen the trailer, stills, more stills, and exclusive footage before finally receiving word that an American distributor, Sony Pictures, obtained the rights. Now we’re left in limbo not knowing if we’ll ever get a chance to see it. We know the cast is proud of this project as much as we are and, even if it’s through limited release, we just want to support those that worked hard in this film.
