Hey everyone! As a lot of you know, the upcoming school dance was cancelled due to an apparent lack of interest from the student body. This is the last dance of the school year, and it is also the last school dance ever for the grads of 2016. Events like dances have always been a huge part of the community of LDHSS, and they mean a lot to many people. Let's show that not only does the student body have interest in this, but that we are also willing to actually fight for it and show that when we come together to make something happen, our collective voice speaks louder than anything and can actually bring a change!

I have been reading your messages about how much this final dance means to the graduating class. The school administration is still staying quiet but they cannot ignore the fact that so many of us are ready to show up for our last night together.

Seeing this level of support reminds me why this last dance matters so much for all of us seniors. It is incredible to realize that we are proving everyone who doubted our interest wrong.

I also say dance tickets be sold until thursday because many people didnt get them because of the rumors that it was going to cancel
the numbers were all there, if this is a punishment for those that didn't sign up earlier, then what of those who did? why couldn't tickets also be sold at the door for those who don't know what is to come?
This is the last dance of the year and many people would enjoy this especially for the seniors, considering this dance is the last before prom.
It's a huge part of what makes high school memorable!! Best part for sure for me
I'm not going. I just don't want the dance to be canceled for those who wanted to go and are/were going, so I signed the petition.

I'm probably not going to go to this dance but cancelling it is completely unfair for everyone who was, just let it happen.
