I understand the Girl Scouts need to generate revenue for all their activities they do throughout the year. There are a great number of residents who were once girl scouts themselves, and understand all the wonderful services they provide. This is an issue of the safety and well being of the residents. I’d like to share with you a few personal experiences I’ve had dealing with the light show. 2 years ago my brother and his girlfriend were visiting for a few hours. She parked in the street in front of our house. When his girlfriend went to leave, she got in her car, put her signal on and tried to pull out, she was blocked by cars in line for the light show. They thought she was going to cut in line and would not let her in. My brother and I had to stand in front of an SUV to let her pull forward to make her U-turn to go home. Last year, I tried to assist my mother in backing out of the driveway. Since Arrow security was nowhere to be found, I stepped in the road and tried to stop traffic, only to be sped passed, honked at and cursed at. I’ve had several similar experiences after being directed into on-coming traffic. People flipping me off, cursing, thinking I’m trying to cut the line. Last year I was also leaving my house, I pulled alongside an SUV parked in front of my house overloaded with people. I asked if I could help them, and told them the residents don’t appreciate people parking in front of the houses. His response was, “I’ll park here as long as I F-ing want.” We've had a neighbors house get vandalized, there is constant littler in the streets being thrown out by the visitors, headlights shining into our houses, I’ve seen people get out of a car, urinate in a neighbors yard, and then get back in the car. These are the experiences the residents have come Christmas time. All the residents want is their street back. The light show has out-grown the capacity of our street and their Bayport facility. For the past 10 years the Girl Scout have put on their light
