No holiday decorations - come on, that’s crazy. Please reconsider. I agree with another owner’s comment that we all need some cheer. What better way than with bright lights and merriment.

There's already depression with Coronavirus and hard enough as it is for some people. We all need something to look forward to and something to brighten our lives during these turbulent times. Please allow people to express themselves through their decorations for the holidays.

Always so great to see the holiday spirit within our community...now that I have children, 4 & 5 yrs old, it is a joy to see them commenting on our neighbors’ homes decorations. They do no harm to anyone and it’s a way to show share the spirit of holidays with others.

I read the email from VPHA quoting the CC&Rs, but that doesn't tell me anything about why, after all these years, the association is deciding to enforce this exception that has been allowed for decades.
I'm not particularly religious, and I understand that some individuals may resent holiday decorations, but decorations and festivities around the holiday season have always been a great reminder that we need to be "nicer" throughout the rest of the year.
I'd like to know the specific objections made my individuals before I could support removing decorations

As long as the decorations are not going to damage the fence, bushes/trees, or you don’t impeded the walkway, decorations need to be allowed. We all must be accountable and accept the consequences if we do not remove them in a timely manner. Please rewrite this rule and show for decorations to light up our amazing neighborhood!!!

SO SAD !!! Weddings postponed, we can't have funerals for those we loved that have passed....and the list goes on and on this year.....but, the board feels it is ok to send out mean letters about decorations.....Put things in perspective and lets do what we can to make things a little better ....decorations bring smiles ....happiness....thanks from me to all those that decorate and show kindness in our little Porto community !!!

I think simple use of our surrounding property during holidays, as long as they're taken down in a reasonable time after the holiday, should be allowed.
