Holiday decor should always be allowed. Everyone, in my opinion, has always done it well and it maes us all happier to see it. Those who do not want to participate do not have to...but I want to!! Not allowing outside decor is over the top for the board to regulate.

It is ridiculous that this even needs to be done. I am not religious at all but find the holidays a beautiful time and this year of ALL years we need brotherly love and the spirit of giving

One of the reasons I moved to this community was to decorate during the holidays. Whoever is on our HOA Board that has lost touch with what makes the holidays special or has become out of touch with the community should do the community a favor and kindly resign.

We have lived here for 15+ years and there has never been an issue with holiday decorations. I served on the VPHOA Board of Directors for 6 years and there was never a discussion about it. I hope we can undo this unfortunate and unjoyful decision.

Likewise, it has been customary everywhere in Villa Portofino, the U.S. and around the world to have decorations around and outside our compound to celebrate ALL events, no matter what it is,that are so important to our personal belief/tradition. In addition, Decorations are also personal to bring joy, happiness and to brighten our lives in this community we love so much!

Decorating on holidays has always been a tradition for many most especially Christmas. This is the reason why I loved this community. I don't understand why all of a sudden this freedom to make our surroundings festive has to be regulated! People are already down by this Covid19 yet we're not allowed to do the simple desires to uplift our spirits? Such a sad thing to do.

Holiday decorations are a tradition of the season. I’m Jewish so I don’t decorate my home but I love being surrounded by them. Stop with the Scrooge attitude, Board! Especially in this sad year. A little joy is in order.

This rule must be changed back to the way it always was, giving residents the ability to share their holiday spirit (using just the common areas adjacent to their homes for just a limited time). We never had any major problems with this rule in all the years I've lived here
