With all of the codes I had to navigate to get my house built, I’m a bit perplexed as to why we might compromise the dunes with this parking proposal on a one lane sandy road. Emergency vehicles could be inhibited; one of the reasons I couldn’t build a fence higher than 4 ft passed the front of my house. It’s for these and all of the other objections I’ve read against the proposal that I signed this petition. Respectfully, Steve Eakins 253 OBE.

This is sad, they want to make people to pay to go to Gods Beach they was made for everyone, and its so sad because some people and families can't not afford to go anywhere and at least they can go to the beach and enjoy the ocean and sand.

This will impact all concerned , but those of us who are on the mainland side have no advocates in this matter, we pay Brunswick County taxes also. Being close to the beach is why we bought our homes .

I feel paying to park is ridiculous Holden beach stays busy all year round and there are other ways to make extra money like charging vendors more for festivals and pay to see concert and other different things I have a cleaning business and times are hard right now because everything has went up and I'm local and for me paying to come and clean will leave me making no money

Against paid parking except on town owned property, against parking in right of way except by adjacent property owner or their guest

How about paid parking at the pier and other public parking place. You could also buy the land at the bridge and turn that into paid parking. Homeowners and renters do not want people parking in their front yard. Now this gives people more opportunities to go on owns property and use shower etc... Think about this, think about the people that supports HB.

Have been coming to Holden Beach since 1954. Moved to the inland side in 1985. Pay someone to pick up trash if there is a problem and do not start charging me to come and walk on the beach after I get off work.

This plan has no consideration for the negative impacts it will have! The BOC is only concerned with the income to try and pay for the Pier purchase debacle. Some paid parking in proximity to PUBLIC beach access may be feasible, RoW not so much.

We are absolutely against paid parking on our street, Lumberton St. We have two grandchildren that play with the other kids on the street riding bikes, playing ball and the neighbors know to be cautious of all the kids playing. The other fact is that the idea of having strangers Parking along resident’s yards is ludicrous and will cause issues daily.

I have been coming to Holden for 60 years. Now that I live in Bolivia. I love being able to go anytime. I just see policing and parking will be a nightmare.

This will devalue our properties. Property owners on canal streets are being unfairly targeted. As stated at the last board meeting, homeowners will be cleaning up the trash left behind. This paid parking is NOT the solution.

Please keep parking free. For some families, it’s the best place they can go without having to pay to have fun with their children. Just because other beaches are doing it doesn’t make it right for Holden to jump on the bandwagon!

Keeping prices LOW and consider the restricted income of retired/disabled visitors. At the current proposed rates, I'll never be able to walk on the beach during season. I'll surely miss Holden. :-(
