Shocked & Angry that this is taken so lightly . Why aren't people pulling together as a community for this ??! This is a child who could not help themselves now scarred for life by a path she did not choose.

RCIPS should handle this with the public interest in mind. A secret internal enquiry performed by the copper's pals is not the way to restore any sort of confidence.

The most heinous of all crimes are the crimes agains children. When those with a duty to protect fail to do so and those with a duty to over see them overlook the failure, they are no different that the perpetrators themselves. The Cayman Islands' cultural acceptance of sexual abuse of children must stop.

This has got to stop period!
The innocence of a child must be guarded and in the absence, the full extent of the law must be handed down, for those who violate our young children.
The victims must not be punished further and justice must be sought by every Caymanian, parent, resident of these Islands.
Why isn't there more signatures to this petition. Everyone of us here, "must", sign for a full investigation and if necessary dismissal of those whom have been negligent in this case. This cannot continue, this has become the norm.
If we don't have staff that are compentent to handle these very sensitive cases then we need to get qualified experts in the field and a rigorous program put in place to get more qualified persons trained up.
I am all for this petition,
It is time to stand up CAYMAN.

Just should be for everyone, especially pur children and wlderly. It is a crying shame when they suffer at the hands of their accuse and the very people to help the ip and out so justice can be served has let them down.
This type of negligence and lost documents and tricking young people by police has been going on for quite some time now which cause those causing harm to go free and laugh in the face of those they have harmed.
Now is the time..it is a begining and everything must start somewhere..happy to be a part I would be condoning it if I did not do my part as a voter and a mother.

This child was let down by the persons who had the highest duty to protect her - her mother, her family-member abusers and finally the police. As a member of the Cayman community, I refuse to let her down so I stand with all who demand justice for her. How can we live with ourselves otherwise?
