Hold Public Meetings on Scarsdale Surveillance System

What is the benefit of this surveillance to our safety at the expense of privacy and the threat that the data will affect our privacy. This company has BAD reviews

This is a shanda!

It is outrageous to add surveillance to our neighborhood without having a proper public discourse and transparency. This is an over-reaching effort by local government to take advantage of its neighbors.

The Village Board has overstepped its mandate by unilaterally approving and purchasing surveillance equipment without sufficient public input or transparency. This kind of decision demands broader community engagement, not quiet overreach.

I would like more information as well as participation by residents in any decision making regarding the matter

The company implementing the data gathering gains valuable marketable data from their activities. What safeguards are in place to ensure the data is not sold to third parties? Does Scarsdale IT control the physical devices gathering, transporting, and storing the data? What assurances are there that the the collected data is not being copied?

More transparency is required; proof and results of analysis of comparable proposed surveillance in other villages

Transparency is critical.

Please do not sign us up for ‘Big Brother’ surveillance. This is a slippery slope. We did not vote for this or the expenditure.

1) Full disclosure is key. 2) Why is this not under the control of SPD? 3) what does and Flock do with the data? 4) Why is constant surveillance of our comings and going necessary. 5) what about the 4th Amendment - freedom from searches? 6) On what probable cause does the town base their decision to follow me or anyone? 7) How long does is the data kept? 8) very very troubling... Take some time and visit other parts of the world where you are under constant government surveillance and take a look at how they live - this is a terrible idea. How about this, of you are worried about the crime, take all that money that we are going to spend on a vendor and hire a few more cops?

While I support stronger security measures, I’d love to know that the community is involved in the process, transparency in the company we hire to install said surveillance and privacy is guaranteed for our residents.

This is not a decision that should be made behind closed doors by a few trustees. I'm surprised and disappointed by the way this issue has been handled by the town. We need full disclosure and answers to the many questions that have been raised about implementing such a plan.

Why do we need drone surveillance in Scarsdale at all? If we do then shouldn’t it be under the oversight of SPD? Why is Flock recurring annual expenses so high? This seems aggrejous pricing for an u clear community benefit - we’re competitive quotes sought and transparent pricing pursued? If so where are the results?
