I most definitely support this petition. I am pretty horrified that Hokuleʻa is flying the US flag at all. SO wrong in so many ways. If the message is peace, then peace must be based on pono. US claims to Hawaiʻi are not pono. The world needs good examples of healing, not perpetuation of lies and abuse. Please sign and share broadly.

As the US is militarily occupying a country it took by military force the US flag should fly nowhere over Hawai'i or the Holule'a except over a US embassy when one is established

In truth the Hokulea shall set sail under the Hawaiian flag upside down with the removal of the U.S flag and let it be known the true history of Hawaii as an occupied Nation under distress. HE HAWAI'I AU Mau a Mau! We Are NOT American. WE ARE HAWAIIAN! And we will die Hawaiians! Get it right....... the Hokule'a is OUR STORY!

Hokuleʻa needs to represent Hawaiʻi. Hawaiʻi is not legally a part of the United States of America. Flying the US flag sends an erroneous message to the world. Please take it down.

He Hawaii au. Hokule'a is a Hawaiian Kingdom Legacy of over two millenia. It is not a US ship. Therefore, this is a "False Flag" and should not be flown on the mast of any of our ships, vessels or canoes..

I prefer they sail to foreign waters with only the two Hawaiian flags old & new...if they choose to fly the American at least turn it upside down, both flags to show that our relationship is in distress!
