In light of a most recent article, I read in the Detroit Free Press about PITTSBURG Goaltender Marc Andre-Fleury and his refusal to sign a young hockey fans jersey. You can read the article for yourself at http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/articleAID=/20080531/SPORTS05/805310381/1048 What Marc Andre-Fleury done to this kid is sad and does not represent the true meaning of hockey for all the millions of kids who look up to these guys and dream to one day play in the NHL themselves. The purpose of this is to get Marc Andre-Fleury and the PENS to provide this amazing family with tickets to one of the stanley cup final's games. I think they should do this as an apology for such rudness to a young kid, with hopes and ambition of seeing his favorite players and maybe watch a game. I hope that some of these high up players remember what it was like to be a kid and dream, before they were fortunate enough to make the NHL and make millions of dollars. The kids are what this is all about and are the furture of our game. Thank... I don't know where this will go but I hope that the family involved enjoys the rest of their trip and are not too upset about what had happened to them.

The response is growing and the message is clear. Professional athletes owe it to the youngest fans to show some basic respect.

The momentum behind this is incredible. Seeing this many people agree that Ian deserves better is humbling.

What a jerk. Imagine being that rich and famous and still being too lazy to sign a jersey for a little kid. Hope the Pens make this right.

Poor kid! These players forget that they were kids once too. It takes two seconds to be nice.
