Gotta save this special Place - you must - it's a place that makes people in Hoboken feel at home and comfortable. Would be a terrible loss.

What a shame....this was such a great spot with amazing people. We absolutely loved going here, our dog, Cooper included, who would race trying his hardest to get there as fast as he could. Very sad.

Supporting business owners is the way to build a community. Seeing possibilities of dollar signs and unnecessary development is the way to ruin a community and make it replete of what it needs most - a heart and 'soul'

This place was a respite from all the sports bars & no one gave you crap when you put something other than Beyonce or Springsteen on the jukebox.

So sad. A wee bit of Ireland forced to leave Hoboken. Owner, John, a true gentleman, the bartenders always friendly & caring. A big loss to the 4th ward.

No chance any other business in that spot can survive. 4th ward resident since 2008 when it opened and I have seen the clientele grow year after year. It was different than anything else, there are enough "trendy" spots for the visitors. This was "the" local bar.

Northern Soul is a great outlet for the community to connect with each other over live music in a city where venues with that kind of cultural contribution are increasingly difficult to come by. I feel lucky and humbled to have graced the stage there and even moreso to have been a part of the audience.
