Soul is more than just a bar. It's a place to belong. It's a place for art, and music, and community. Closing Northern Soul rips out a part of Hoboken that makes it interesting and desirable to live in.
I hope that the landlords understand the genuine love Soul patrons have for the place. That love will not allow for an easy transition to a new business in this space.

It's solely due to Northern Soul's success that the landlords feel the property is of greater value now. That area of town is deplete of potential otherwise and there exists no other reason for people to go to the 4th Ward.

I've lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and it was great to have them as part of the community. Everyone is so nice and it is great to have a neighborhood bar as cool as this one. #savethesol

This is a special place that they've put a lot of care into. You've got to let them earn a living too and not crush them with a rent that's too high to work with. In protest, I won't go to any new place that may take this spot.

Northern Soul is not only a great, laid back bar with pool, darts, and friendly owners and bartenders. But it is also the greatest music scene in all of Hoboken. Musicians and Music Fans alike gather here to share, listen, and enjoy. Please re-open Northern Soul!
