Horace Mann Elementary School is already beyond capacity and is experiencing rapid population growth. Parents at Horace Mann want to be sure that the Newton Public Schools administration and School Committee understand that we are already using all of our eighteen classrooms and by September 2011 may very well need one or even two additional classrooms. We, the undersigned, respectfully call on the Newton School Committee to take Horace Mann’s dire space needs into consideration in your upcoming deliberations over where to allocate scarce school construction dollars.
