Whilst I agree that travellers need to be stationed somewhere, surely it should be considered the effect that the venue will have on the community and the people that use this facility.

Why should local people who pay council tax to keep theses places lovely be ignored. Who will pick up the costs of cleaning up the trash travellers leave behind, oh yes, the tax payer. Not good enough!

This park is the heart of hetton families spend hours walking and playing there this should be left as it is for people to enjoy and have fun people will be scared to go with their families if it's turned into a Traveler site .

We regularly use this to park our horse trailers to meet up with friends and enjoy the beautiful ride around the parks. This would be no longer possible without these parking facilities.

People born and bred in the area once again will pay the price, with the loss of the car park. If the council allow this to happen, residents should remember this at election time.

Site will be in totally the wrong location, and detrimantal to the local community's access to facilities they already enjoy!
Incredulous the council are considering putting a travellers site in such a location which is wholly unsuitable !

Not just the anglers will be affected by this proposal, dog walkers, cyclists and many members of the public who use Hetton Lyons Country Park will loose the facilities they pay council tax for!

I use this car park daily when taking dogs for a walk and live nearby and have no desire for a travellers camp here.
