This is something Hetton could do without! It's bad enough as it is and to stop people fishing and enjoying the outdoors is against all the things you see sunderland council trying to promote.

The lakes are for the people and not for non rate paying travellers.

Shame on Sunderland city council for choosing Hetton Lyons Country Park. How long do they think the wildlife will survive- swans etc. with all the mess they will leave lying around.

I have used the car park many times when walking the dog and walk through with my granddaughter in her push chair. I also agree that it would take away access for older and less fit members of our local community to the fishing that they enjoy.

Retain car park at Hetton Lyons country park....it's a much needed facility to enable visitors to access the main beauty spot in Hetton. The park also is starting to attract events with visitors from across the country

Save the car park. I use it regularly when I bring the dogs over.

Totally against using this car park for any kind of housing

This car park is much better surfaced than the one on the far side of the park and is clearly better suited for disabled and infirm visitors

I do not want this to become a place where travellers can stop off/ reside at

Other sites could be found away from a water course. Contamination of the lakes is certain to occur judging by what happens in Murton when travellers stop over.
