Putting a whole block in quarantine is the same as hotel quarantine facilities in terms of containment of the virus, and much better for the mental health of all of the residents.
Please be sensible and make decisions based on science looking at all aspects of health care, including mental health, for those needing to be quarantine.

I’ve had 2 jabs and that makes no difference? How does this incentivise anyone to get the jabs?

Indiscriminate isolation is not a solution. We invite the HKSAR GOV to present proportionate measures, including recognising significantly lowered risk for vaccinated individuals, particularly as new studies become available showing protection against the new variants. Rationale based quarantine should be implemented - if the new variants are more contagious, they likely manifest sooner, which renders a 21 day quarantine unnecessary in any case. Also needed is the recognition that the virus does not discriminate between social classes and resident status. Vaccinated people from overseas and vaccinated HK residents should be permitted to quarantine for a shorter time period and if possible at home.

Waste of public funds and ineffective. Home quarantine with security an exceedingly better and safer option.

The current policy is ridiculous. With vaccines available that prevent serious illness and death, the government should stop all quarantine for vaccinated people and instead require the people who have not been vaccinated either to get vaccinated or bear the risk of their own foolish decision not to get vaccinated.

I support this overdue move against the inanities of the government over the enforced quarantine of whole blocks of residents.

We need sensible decisions in a crisis. Not ad hoc policies with no consideration of the people it affects.

It is a disincentive for vaccination if its ability to protect against infection is not recognised!!!

Home quarantine 14days quite enough for full vaccinated people who test negative!
No Quarantine fir fully vaccinated hk permanent residents returning to hk from a non red zone
Hk government get with the practical situation which is Covid is unlikely to be eliminated 100% & fully vaccinated people should be treated as immune! Nobody is completely immune from the flu so treat Covid the same
