HK Govt has to allow Home Quarantine - be prudent, logical and save resources

It's safer to keep people at home than to move hundreds en masse to another location. Home quarantine works - why not follow China's lead in this instance? Removing hundreds of people from their homes to a facility inadequate for work, for children, the elderly and infirm is illogical, a waste of time and effort and less effective than locking the residential building and individual apartments down.

I’m not in quarantine but I worry so much if I need to
go, for the welfare of my cats.
My heart goes out to these people worrying about their pets whilst in quarantine through no fault of their own. Please consider locking buildings down for home quarantine. Thank you!

Threat to public health from people avoiding vaccination because of no quarantine differentiation and mental stress of 21 days imprisonment far greater than covid variants.

1 infected person sends a whole building into quarantine is absolutely BONKERS. Sending even fully vaccinated people as well, that just takes the biscuit, and they ask why so little number of people want to get vaccinated. DUMB GOVT!!!!

Lock down at home is far more cost effective, safe, and manageable. It worked in China and it can work in HK.

Sophia Chan should be fired immediately. She is so far out of her depth that she is a danger to the physical and mental health of Hongkongers. Carrie Lam should cease her tedious policy of prioritising every opportunity to "thank Beijing" or demonstrate her tedious "pro-Beijing" credentials over science and facts. For once she MUST follow the logic of scientific evidence and look after Hongkongers first. If she can't do that then she should go too. Science and common sense first. Politics never. Enough is enough!!!

I am a research student in Hong Kong. Hotel quarantine is just an unbearable and expensive cost for me and my family. Moreover I am a mother of an autistic kid. For my kid it’s just horrible at hotel quarantine. That’s why I request government of HK to consider home quarantine for lower middle class family and also special needs children.

It absolutely make sense to allow home quarantine if the order is thr whole building must undergo mandatory quarantine.

I think, it should be fair to vaccinated and negative to the Covid test people to be allowed to do their quarantine at home. I don’t suggest, they shouldn’t do the quarantine, on the contrary, but they should have the option to do it at home.
