Punching passage thru to kitchen, is a mistake, as is loss of firelace.

Don't think it is necessary. If they're going to demo the bar area why was the cove restaurant area recently carpeted?

Hope this plan will never happen. There is no reason to take away the charm of the bar area Don’t take away the fire place

I like it the way it is. It doesn’t seem necessary.

I think the Cove Bar is charming and with just a few facelift items it could look new and refreshed. No need for a full transformation and layout at this stage. We have enjoyed it "as is".

Club just went through a major pool renovation. Would be against losing the fireplace as well.

I`m presently on my boat in the Fla.Keys, but I don`t think we should spend $ to do away with the FIREPLACE. It`s great in the winter & we have the TIKI Bar for the summer .

I think at this juncture it would be sensible have a dialogue on the spend to provide all members with a fulsome explanation of the rationale of the decision. And obtain insights on membership's thoughts that perhaps were obfuscated in the surveys. It may not change the course of action, but it will help develop a more common level of understanding.

I think the Cove Bar is charming as is and does not need renovating. And removing the fireplace is a big mistake. The $250,000 price tag is way too high and is an unnecessary expenditure for the Club. Finally, in the past, the Board of Governors has sought the approval of membership for projects costing less than this project. This precedent dictates that the Board also seek membership approval for the Cove project, especially since it is an area of the Club used by most groups of membership.

$250,000 seems to be a very small budget for a project with MANY unknowns. The proposed renovation location has multiple potential structural and drainage headaches. This process seems very rushed and has anyone even considered the ROI?

I do not approve any renovation project without prior membership approval. This abuse of spending is unacceptable. I would like a detailed accounting report of all spending for recent decorating and capital projects.

The Cove bar is very charming as is, and $250,000+++ seems like a lot of money to spend on a bar that will not likely be recouped through increased revenue.

This seems like a misuse of club funds to me. The current Cove does not need renovation. It was done not too many years ago. Our money is better used somewhere else.

I support the idea of a special meeting of the Board open to all members to express their views on the project before proceeding further.

I like layout as is. Don’t see how it could increase revenue. Either I would go or not go there. The renovation would not change my decision Just improve what’s there if necessary

I think the layout of the bar is much more inviting the way it is now and the fireplace adds character. The seats always seem to be full and people love the view.

There are far more pressing issues that need to be addressed. Given the history of overruns and the unknown structural issues that may arise, this project is frivolous and unnecessary.

I love the bar the way it is now. It's very charming.

I believe that walking into this proposed bar location and seeing embers backs will be very uninviting to members and their guests. I also disagree with removing the fireplace which adds some ambiance to the bar area. I feel it is a complete waste of money that could better be used in other areas of the club. I would also look into improving the food menu which is unchanged from week to week with lack of imagination.
