I'm currently a six year pharmD student undergoing my clinical rotations at Tamale teaching hospital and I can attest to the fact that, pharmacist play a very vital role in ensuring pharmaceutical care is at its optimum. There have been countless times where deaths have been prevented due to the pharmacists at the ward. A valid example was when the nurses went on strike. Pharmacists were seen administering drugs, passing IV lines , working effectively with medical doctors to ensure definite patients outcomes. This clearly indicates that, pharmacists are indispensable when it comes to pharmaceutical care.
