My daughter loves Sasha and Dan! As stated they are part of the school community and take on wonderful responsibilities that contribute to the safe, valuable and productive environment that has made Muscota what it is. Not only are Dan and Sasha integral to our children's education, but they are very important to our Muscota family. Our children deserve as many familiar faces as possible during this time. Faces of two amazing teachers they know are committed to their wellbeing and education. Forcing us to hire one new full time teacher rather than keep our two part time arts educators benefits absolutely no one at our school . Dan and Sasha are not only essential to the fabric of our Muscota community - both my children have thrived under their pedagogy - but they are artists who are essential to the very fabric of what it is to live, learn and grow up in New York City. We cannot fathom our school without them, and if we lost them to another school or opportunity it would be an revocable loss.

My daughter Allisson has separation anxiety. Art and music is something that really make her feel calm and confortable. It is so important to me that she feels normal during this craziness. Especially now that she has been locked during so many months. Please approve this important teachers in our great school. I will appreciate it as a mother and as a part of this community.

Dan and Sasha are VITAL members of our Muscota staff. Throughout our 5 years at Muscota, my children have learned countless incredible lessons in art, music, art theory, music theory, collaboration, and SEL from these incredible educators. Particularly during the pandemic, Sasha and Dan have risen to the occasion, creating incredible synchronous lessons for our students to continue their growth in arts education and have a space to express their feelings through art and music, a much needed outlet during this very unpredictable time in our country. Our school would not be the same without them.
