I couldn't agree more. My son started last September and he has been fully embrassed, by teachers and pupils alike. Teaching standards are high, but not dogmatic, and there are all these different sports activities, music events, and theatre productions. My son couldn't be at a better place.

I have had three children at Hill House, one left last year to go on to City of London School for girls and the other two are still in attendence. I am very grateful for the great work Hill House has done with my children and in helping my eldest daughter get into a great school. And I am confident that through the help and continued great work the teachers at Hill House do, my other two will do very well too. Thank you Hill House.

As a former pupil at Hill House who then attended an extremely well-ranked public school in the USA, I was amazed by how high-quality an education students at Hill House receive compared to students at other well-regarded schools. I am appalled that this “report” fails to recognize the value of a Hill House education, which has likely helped me more than the rest of my schooling combined.

I am a former pupil from Hill House and I have learnt so much in all of the subjects, particularly Maths, English and Chinese. Therefore, it is unjust to read the articles about the Hill House teachers. I am doing very well at my secondary school (City of London School for Girls) thanks to the Hill House teachers.

how are you supposed to take a report like this seriously when the lady whp wrote it was expelled from 3 schools and doesn't like private schools! Both my brother and I attended hill house and have fond memories of the school. You learn lifelong lessons from the school and lifelong friends. I thank the school and teachers for all I learnt.

I am a former pupil, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hill House from the age of 4 to 11. I got into my first choice of school when doing my 11+ and was always very happy there. I think that the teaching and nurture of my teachers especially in maths, english and french was phenomenal and wish all the best for the school to keep running as it was. I think that the report only highlighted the negatives and ignored or didn't mention the best parts of the school such as nurture and teaching.

OFSTED Report is not fair and doesn't reflect the true picture.

I care more about values and character building and in that respect Hill House is definitely outstanding.

What an insightful comment, which explains so well why people have challenged the veracity of the report. I wonder if you would post it on the main message board

The ofsted report doesn't bear any resemblance to the happy and caring school both my children attend. I have been more than impressed by every teacher they have come across. We chose Hill House for its specific respect for individual personalities and other qualities money just can't buy. The ofsted report is inadequate and should be retracted.

Some comments are marked as deleted. A poster asked why negative comments have been deleted. Another poster asked why their negative comments were being deleted. That's what I based my comment on. I do think the outpouring of support for the school's leadership sends the wrong message. It could be perceived to be an endorsement of their failings to pay due care and attention to the safety of the children. I feel HH parents should be able to see past their upset with the OFSTED inspectors and should not have their attention diverted away for the practical problems and solutions that will help the children.

The report is simply daft and contradictory. Perhaps OFSTED need to inspect themselves?

We moved our daughter to Hill House in Lower Transitus (Year 5) this september after she became unhappy at her previous school in the State sector. Since joining HH she has really thrived: academically (we have found all the teachers very exacting, inspiring and enthusiastic), emotionally (she has been so happy in this positive environment, and has made some wonderful friendships), and physically (she has enjoyed the daily sports sessions very much). The overall ethos of kindness and respect has been very evident in all the HH pupils and staff we have met. The recent Ofsted report appears to bear no relation to the high achieving, happy, caring school we are delighted to have joined.

This is not at all accurate. Hill House is an exceptional school.
