I echo comments made by others - the observations of the Ofsted team are largely at odds with the experiences I have had with the school - the staff are incredible, the pastoral care is fantastic, the children are happy and confident and the school seems to be achieving well academically. This is not to say that the school is without fault - if teachers feel they would like more professional development opportunities, that is no bad thing to try to institute; there have been concerns expressed about the academic direction and leadership of the school following recent staff departures and these too should be addressed. However, to condemn the school in every respect as inadequate is neither helpful nor accurate.

Just shows how out of touch OFSTED bureaucrats are. Have they spoken to any of the parents or they just have a silly rule book in which they simply tick boxes ?

My husband and I (Simon) feel appalled to see the critic to a school where graduated from Ethon and Harrow students and so many gifted as talented those nourished by Hill House. We have

We, as parents totally disagree with Ofstead's findings. We and our children have enjoyed 15 years of excellent, happy education at Hill House, and are looking forward to another six. The report does not reflect the school at all. Hill House alumni are confident, considerate, polite, self-disciplined well-educated students. The children really enjoy their time there and thrive, their individuality and diversity is celebrated. It is a truly International and multi-cultural environment. The report does seem to be politically motivated and it contradicts the great results the school continues to achieve. The media story has come out of the blue, as if someone wants to cause damage. The Department of Education should consult the 1000 pupils and their parents for the real picture in order to assess the school’s performance. We will continue to whole heartedly support the Hill House and all its staff.

I have two kids at the school, and whilst I recognise that there are some areas that could require an improvement, I strongly disagree with the whole report. It does not represent the school my kids attend and the allocated rating been nothing less than ridicoulous.

a gross abuse of position and power from OFSTED, shows them to be harmful and not helpful to schools

I am appalled at the report. How is it remotely reasonable to suggest the school be closed. Whilst I welcome any positive influence to improve teachers and what the hundred study my daughter is happy at the school. I would like to meet with the inspectors. How also does Thai get to the national media it's pathetic on all fronts

The report is vindictive and the media reporting is sensationalist and shameful - gutter journalism again. I have had two boys at the school for over a decade collectively. It has its quirks but it encourages free thought, independence and respect for all. Alongside that - my first boy got into Westminster on an exhibition and my second is on his way there too - so can't be too bad on the academics! The teachers are approachable and really care about the children. If Ofsted and the media would like an open debate about this (and the tick box short termism of the current education system that seems to be celebrated) then I would take part in that with interest.

I think the ofsted report is false. All my children are extremely happy, they do learn and improve in sll subjects. The staff and the children are extremely polite. All my children are good in maths snd are good in english, reading and writing.

I cannot agree more with the other parents. We have two children in Hill House, both happy and thriving. The report is a complete misrepresentation of the wonderful school my children attend. An example of politically underpinned, disrespectful school bashing offending both the dedicated tutors and the hard-working, happy children.

Both my daughters are extremely happy at Hill House. I consider the school to have old fashioned values, which is the main reason why my husband and I chose this school above all others.

My children have attended Hill House for 5 years and have been extremely happy. They love their school, their teachers and their friends. Of course there are areas where the school could improve but it is a very good school which produces happy, confident and successful children. The results speak for themselves. The Ofsted report contains serious allegations, without any supporting evidence and should be rectified.

as parents of two daughters currently at Hill House and a third one joining soon I strongly believe that this school is a good one for all of the pupils growing there in good care. We never had a doubt about our choice for our children. They are obviously happy in there school, confident in there potential thanks to an encouraging and dedicated staff and well mannered. This report does not reflect our experience since three years.

I believe that Hill House International School has been erroneously misrepresented by the most recent OFSTED report.

I completely agree with all the comments about how strongly support Hill House school as parent and as a citizen. I think the school really prepares our children for secondary school and most important gives them a valuable rules that will be very useful later on in life when a well manner and respectful person will have more chances to succeed in life. I on the other hand think that the school has to improve certain aspects that can not be ignore. So know it will be the time to do it. I am sure all the parents will fully support the school in achieving the changes that they will need to implement.

After extensive research of London schools we found Hill House to be the best for our daughter. We are extremely happy with our choice and continually impressed with the school and grateful that our daughter is receiveing such an outstanding education.
