I don't know why this shows me from Waterloo. I live in Burds Acres, off of Thunder Hills Road.

The westbound exit from HWY 20 onto Thunder Hills Road is far too short to make a safe exit. Acceleration lanes into both east and westbound traffic would greatly improve the safety of this intersection, especially during foggy weather. An under/over pass should be constructed to serve the entire area around the truck stop, from Swiss Valley and Higley Road all the way to Dubuqueland Mini Storage. 1 exit / frontage road system to cover the area.

Please...this highway needs to be improved and made safer. There are way too many accidents on that stretch of highway.

No west bound traffic should be able to access the steel business or the truck stop. Extend the turn in lanes and add an excelebration lanes for each business so access and exit is only east bound traffic.also increase the size of the 55 mph signs and have more enforcement, especially at heavy use times. The state wastes plenty of money why not spend some to save lives.

I live along North Cascade Rd, and need to cross Hwy 20 everyday on my way to work. It can be very dangerous trying to cross. It is even more dangerous turning from Hwy 20 onto North Cascade Rd with no turning lane. I request a turning lane from Hwy 20 onto North Cascade Rd. Thank you.

3 times I have had to come to a COMPLETE stop heading East on Hwy 20 by the truck stop by Swiss Valley Rd when semi pulled out from truck stop in the 6 :30am time frame. Luckily no one was directly behind me. Semi driver KNEW who was bigger each time. These semis each time pulled out heading West crossing both 4 lanes. These situations are not even for those turbine transport semi trailers that frequent the area at the truck stop.

Drive this road everyday and have had way too many close calls or have been stuck in traffic for several too many accidents. Please do something to make this area safer.

I drive that intersection every day and turn off at North Cascade Road. Everyday when turning off I am looking in my rear view mirror praying the car behind me notices I am turning. There have been many close calls in that stretch and too many families with losses. Something needs to be done!

Please make some changes to these highly traveled roads to make it safer to travel and prevent the many accidents and fatalities.

I live in Wildwood Estates and I am considering moving just because of the HWY situation and the dangers to myself and family.

My wife and I had a very close call at that same intersection after following a semi who was in the right lane. We were slightly behind him in the left lane when a car darted across right behind the semi off of swiss valley road. THe car shot a cross HWY 20 and almost hitting the front right side and passenger door. If I was not able to drive in between the two sets of lanes, we would have taken the hit. I also, saw the car there before entering the corners, so was a little prepare. I only think about if I was not prepare and how quickly something can happen. You have a vehicle going 55+ and another that is trying to beat the next set of cars traveling that fast. This was in 2000 and I really watch it as I enter that area ever since!

I have a friend who would like to move from Asbury to Peosta but said she won't do so because of this stretch of highway being so deadly. She travels to Dubuque for work so would be driving this everyday and doesn't want to endanger herself. So sad that so many deaths have occurred here and nothing has been done!

Also need longer On Ramps to all for people coming to Hwy 20 to accelerate. They have one at Dyersville, they need one at these locations as well.

This has been dangerous, and a cause of loss of life and limbs for over 20 years.
