I believe a frontage road is the answer as well...

it is so dangerous at all these roads. our kids are 6,9,and 12 and my wife and I are already scared to death when our kids get old enough to drive. When are we going to realize when enough is enough with all these accidents.

A frontage road would fix a lot of problems on this part of hwy 20.

I travel through this dangerous intersection twice a day. I will also have teenagers in the near future who I fear to send through this intersection. Please make this a priority. Our lives and our childrens lives are dependent on it. Thank you!

Born in DBQ, grew up on Kelly lane, and now live in Peosta. I beleive the traffic conserns in this section of 20 are some of the worst in the DBQ area for high speed traffic. Fog is a constant issue in these areas and the semi traffic exiting the gas station (in either direction) pays little to no attention to oncoming traffic. They just pull out. In the 2 years I have lived in Peosta, I have had to "stand" on the brakes more than 4 times. I drive this route every day for work and on the weekends my wife (with child) our three small children and I all are on this stretch. It is not condusive to the volume of traffic.I would strongly encourage a frontage road system that connects a common point of north cascade road and Swiss valley road and propose the expensive but necessary addition of an "underpass" at both locations with acceleration lanes.

Desperately needed fix. I dread making a lefthand (westbound) turn onto Hwy 20 from North Cascade Rd!

Very dangerous section of road. Please add frontage roads and ramps for the safety of all.

The truck stop traffic is deadly. Turning on to Swiss Valley Road from the west is difficult because you can't see cars heading eastbound over the hill.

Access lanes should be longer

How many more accidents/deaths need to take place before action is taken?

With the amount of people living in this growing area, improvement to this stretch of highway is past due. It is so unsafe to be pulling out onto this 4-lane highway directly from side roads every morning, especially in the fog, rain and snow. Traffic is so solid on this stretch of road that cars and trucks just pull out in front of other traffic and hope they will slow down or stop, which is not always possible. In good weather I actually go the back way sometimes just to avoid the potential accident on Highway 20. But with the bridge out on Chesterman Road, this isn't currently possible, and we are limited to the Highway 20 Exit.

So many lives and families impacted due to accidents on this stretch of Hwy 20. Be the Change! Support this Effort!

I fear for the safety of all on this stretch. It is unreal how many times I have been eastbound and rounded the corner by the Truck Stop and find a semi taking up the entire east bound lanes. I can't think of any highway that causes you to completely stop when there isn't an accident/construction involved.

I have recently moved back to the area. The amount of traffic through this area is to much for the existing roads. Changed needs to happen and soon!

Can't tell you how many times, including during adverse driving conditions, there have been semi trailers blocking the entire eastbound lane.

I have a lead foot so I love accelerating in these areas. I fear for my life when I am the passenger. Change is needed and I hope the powers can see how this impacts us. Job creation!
