Seen way too many sirens and lights there on my way to and way from work the last 10 years. Semi's constantly pulling out in front of myself and others from the Truck Stop and Namasco. Cars pulling out from both sides of the Highway, North Cascade RD and the new sub divisions on both sides of the highway ..changes need to be made soon!!!!!!!! A Scary drive every day.

This is a nightmare in the morning. I remember each time a semi pulled out in front of me at the Truck Stop. You need to do something before there is another death

As a morning traveler i have had numerous issues while crossing the highway at Thunder Hills and also at the truck stop. The conditions are not good to begin with but with inclement weather it becomes even worse.

Enough people have been hurt or killed on this road. It will only get worse as more people travel this road each year. Lets make it safer.

Back in the early 90's I was involved in a bad accident right in front of the truck stop. A truck pulled out of the truck stop parking lot right in front of me. I didn't even hardly have time to hit the brakes and hit the truck. Fortunately for both of us, this accident didn't involve any fatalities, as many of the accidents in this area do. I agree that something needs to be done to make this area safer.

Overpasses are needed at the intersections of HWY20 and Swiss Valley Road and Cox Springs Road! In addition, a more direct route is also needed from the top of the "Mile Hill" (HWY20 1.5 miles West of Menards-Dubuque, Iowa) Westard to the start of the 65 MPH Speed Zone beyond the intersection of Swiss Valley Road. Between these two points there are many risks of potential and highly probable life-threatening automobile accidents. The risks include Westbound traffic from North Cascade Road, Northbound traffic from Swiss Valley Road, Eastbound traffic from North Cascade Road, traffic from Housing subdivisions on the North side of HWY 20, tractor-trailors from the truck stop and a neighboring business and collisions with wildlife. This direct route, including an overpass, would reduce these potential risks and provide a smoothe flow of traffic from the aforementioned roadways that currently have direct access to the Highway and will save lives!
An overpass at Cox Springs Road, with a frontage road for Southbound traffic from Thunderhills Road (currently with direct access to HWY20) for Eastbound and Westbound access to HWY 20 would be an ideal location to prevent vehicle-related accidents and save lives! The cost of these two projects may have a large pricetag, however, the lives of our friends, family's and others that travel this road are priceless!

Off ramps are much safer. I run into this issue with hwy 61 everyday. People have no patience to wait to cross or get on the hwy safely.

Many, many accidents near the truck stop on Hwy 20. I think the truck stop needs to be moved to Sundown Road with legitimate on/off ramps. Then the semis won't need to pull out and stop traffic in both directions.
I strongly agree with this petition!
