This job that we have as a CNA IS REWARDING ,TO KNOW THAT WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONES LIFE AND TO LET RESIDENTS KNOW THAT THEY ARE LOVED. But to make a living you have to almost work two jobs

I'm tired of working short staff, underappreciated and underpaid for my skills. Why RN's and LPN's salaries go high and CNA's salary stays very low? I feel it's not right just because CNAs don't have a degree that companies ( nursing - homes ) pay CNAs such a low degrading salary for our skills.

I have been a cna off and on for 8 years due to moving and having my daughter. I work in a behavioral unit and only make $11.10 it is ridiculous.
