A big percentage of the Duvall population are small business owners or work in the technology industry. The issue of not having a high speed internet connection at affordable price has made it very challenging for the Duvall residents, and taking on greater economic significance.
More so, Duvall students without Internet access at home may struggle to keep up with school assignments.
As a Real Estate Agent, I know that not having high-speed internet access can affect home prices. A nationwide study released by researchers at the University of Colorado and Carnegie Mellon University finds fiber-optic connections, the fastest type of high speed Internet available, can add $5,437 to the price of a $175,000 home—about as much as a fireplace, or half the value of a bathroom.

i honestly cant believe how much momentum we have gathered lately for better internet out here. seeing so many neighbors talk about the same struggles makes me feel like we are finally gonna get someone to listen.

This is absolutely necessary! I live close to downtown Duvall, and I do get advertised 100 down 5 up speeds (on a wired connection) but I need more upload speed. The only way to get more upload speed is to pay $20 to raise my internet to 110/10. When I was living in Carnation I had 50/15.. We need more options out here.
There must be some way to do this. Even across the county line into unincorporated Snohomish co between Monroe and Duvall, there are hundreds of us ready to pay

I grew up in duvall. In high school I had dial up for Internet this was 2005. I had to stay late at school to use there internet for my senior projects. Also at the time my aunt and uncle were starting up there buisness. I help them in the office time to time and blown away how unreliable and/or slow it is. For a home buisness they need more than slow ridiculously expensive internet. They can't even do something as simple as watch Netflix cause it will max out there capped internet, they will be left with dial up speed. Please make a change and help improve their business and lives.
