So Salisbury Road, a street of 150 dwellings (thereabouts) is "not commercialy viable" as far as BT is concerned. Who are we to blame for these ridiculous black holes in the digital highway? BT, Barnet council, the government of the day? Who handed the power to BT to dismiss whole streets across the country by attaching the words “not viable” to them? I think we are due a reasonably detailed response from BT telling us what criteria they use and it should be meaningful, not the usual condescending commercial reply. We are In a world where the digital super highway is becoming as important and necessary as the road highway, Salisbury road Is condemned to the digital sub highway. these decisions are really too important to be left to an unelected commercial company, perhaps everyone in Salisbury Road that has a BT Phone contract should consider moving it to another company, it may not do any good but may make you feel better. Perhaps Theresa Villiers could present us with a more detailed answer rather than what appears to be a pat answer from a virtual monopoly.

An utter farce, both BT and Barnet Council should be hanging their heads in shame! We are a borough in the country's capital city and we can't even get fibre. In an ever more technological connected world, Barnet is being left in the dark ages. I can't even get iPlayer to work on my pitiful connection.
