The town has an obligation to adhere to the official plan and to protect the environment and the current residents. I am living the nightmare of a high density development in the south end of Collingwood. There are hundreds of houses and no green space currently. The noise and light pollution, and the fishbowl effect has definitely changed our old established neighbourhood. The town sells the lifestyle "play where you work" and then allows the developer to bring the city north ! Enough is enough.

Development must be a proper fit in the are and respect the rights of existing residents and owners and at a minimum should ensure it meets basic environmental and social principles. this plan does not meet these principles and needs to be stopped or amended significantly.

It’s time to plan for responsible building, taking into account traffic, parking, density, drainage and sensitive environmental factors. This applications contains variances that are beyond a reasonable, healthy solution for this piece of land and it’s surrounding neighbours.

Far too high a density against the neighbourhood it is right in the middle of. Developer is imposing a real cost on the residents of Lighthouse Point, who will have to employ more security to protect the integrity of their property.

Concerned about the high congestion of traffic and danger to both pedestrian walkers and bikers who utilize this short parcel of highway. The proposed high density development will funnel hundreds of additional motor vehicles into a short corridor comprising of at least 3 in/out exits and a set of traffic lights within a few hundred foot section of HWY 26. Traffic and pedestrian safety will be severely compromised with the approval and addition of this high density proposal. Thanks

I am very concerned about the amount of new development happening in this one area of Collingwood. This portion of 26 is becoming a safety concern and is not able to handle the high density.
