As noted in the petition, this development is completely out of line with the spirit and standards of Collingwood. Only the developer will benefit from this project and the residents in LHP as well the residents to the west will have to live with this scar for eternity.

There should be designated areas in the Town Plan for that kind of development. Not near wetlands or pleasant approach to Collingwood.

I live in Wasaga Beach but I think this development has too much population density and could affect the local green space adversely.

We need to maintain some greener with medium density rather than concrete with high density

This development is too close to the protected wetland area. There are so many species of birds that use this area to feed and raise their young. This is also a protected area with calm waters that more sensitive species use that can't survive in the open waters of Georgian Bay.

The owner of VMK Capital is "excited" about building this totally ridiculous, overly dense development squeezed into HW 26 and LHP. He wants to "add to the community" that his family has been coming here for 50 years. Really?
We need to stop this irresponsible greed.

The proposed new development is ridiculous. More cars, more traffic, more potential environmental problems, and an insult to a beautiful town and its people. Think carefully, because it cannot be undone once it is built.
